This view is taken along the old Oundle Road with the Church Street junction on the left behind the telegraph pole …… today, the Wheatsheaf public house would be to my immediate left.
The building mostly hidden on the right was the old blacksmiths which shows up clearer in today’s image behind the flagpole.
All of the old cottages on the left have been lost but the style survives today at the Post Office just out of shot to the left.
Where the old road swings away to the left at the top of the image is now the junction with the new Oundle Road.
