Narrow Street c.1912

A classic view of Narrow Street with little more than the Midland Bank building to recognise today.

The width of the road, which narrowed to just 15 feet in places, was proving a nightmare even in the early part of the 20th century and the entire left side of the street was soon to be demolished to create what is more recognizable today as Bridge Street.
